Simplicity Amidst Hardship: The Joy of Slum Children

“The best life is discovered within the embrace of simplicity”

My experience with Pehchaan The Street School (Trust) made me realize the importance of simplicity and gratitude.

Despite the numerous challenges faced by slum dwellers, we can also draw inspiration from their qualities to embrace gratitude and simplicity in what they have, irrespective of their circumstances.

When I inquired among the 9 children I was teaching, only one of them had a television.

The children, who lack the privilege of a television or other forms of modern entertainment, find happiness within the confines of their families.

In an era where we often find ourselves absorbed in our mobile phones or social media, spending less quality time with our parents, these children find entertainment and fulfillment in games and the simple joys of connecting with others.

There is always something valuable to take away as we observe and engage in the world around us. I would like to cherish these things from my experience.
